Welcome Message from the Center Director

Hello.
Welcome to the Center for International Liberal Education at the College of International Studies, Konkuk University.

The Center for International Liberal Education is a dedicated department that develops and operates general education curricula designed to help international students admitted to our university cultivate the academic competencies necessary to successfully complete their university studies. Through fundamental liberal arts education that intellectuals should possess, we strive to foster global citizens who contribute to the development of the global community in this era of internationalization.

The Liberal education curriculum exclusively offered to international students by the Center for International liberal Education consists of both basic and advanced liberal arts courses. The basic liberal arts courses are organized into three areas: Korean Language Education, which is subdivided by proficiency level to enhance Korean language skills essential for major studies such as report writing and presentations; Humanities, Social Sciences, Culture, and Arts, which help students better understand contemporary Korean society and culture and support their adaptation to life in Korea and on campus; and Diversity and Inclusion, which cultivates the ability to embrace and develop diversity as members of the global community. In addition, advanced liberal arts courses are provided to help students acquire foundational academic knowledge necessary for university-level studies. Through these well-validated and standardized liberal arts curricula, we aim to lay a solid foundation for our international students to grow into global leaders.
