Editors-in-Chief
- Inseop Shin (Konkuk University, Korea)
- Inseop Shin is a professor of literature at Konkuk University, Korea; director of the Center for Asia &Diaspora; editor of the Korean Journal of Japanese Language and Literature (indexed by KCI); dean of the Graduate School of Education at Konkuk University; adviser of the Japanese Language Literature Association of Korea; and Editorial Board member of Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature (indexed by A&HCI). As a leading scholar of diaspora culture and multicultural literature in Korea, he has organized many academic conferences and special issues for Universitas–Monthly Review of Philosophy and Culture (indexed by A&HCI). He is a member of the Book Recommendation Committee at the National Library of Korea. He previously served on the Review Board of the National Research Foundation of Korea and has earned major research grants from the Korean government. Currently, he is the head of Global Bridge Research. In addition to numerous articles, his book publications include Light and Dark of Modern and Contemporary Japanese Literature, which was selected as an excellent academic book by the Korea Publishing Foundation.
- Zhenzhao Nie (Zhejiang University, China)
- Zhenzhao Nie is a professor of literature at Zhejiang University (ZJU), China; editor of the Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature (indexed by A&HCI) and executive editor of Forum for World Literature Studies; and founder of the International Center for Ethical Literary Criticism Study, vice-president of the China National Association of Foreign Literature, vice-president of the International Association for Ethical Literary Criticism, and vice-president of the Chinese/American Association for Poetry and Poetics (UPenn-based). As founding father of ethical literary criticism in China, his theories have been introduced by leading scholarly journals and magazines, including commentary appearing in the Times Literary Supplement and special issues organized by Arcadia and CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture. He also received the British Academy K.C. Wong Fellowship, several major research grants from China’s Central Government, and three triennial Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Awards. In addition, his books have been listed in China’s National Strategic Plan on Publication 2011–2015 and selected for the National Humanities and Social Sciences Collection, the only state-level recognition for Chinese humanities and social sciences books.

Editor Committee Regulations
Article 1 (Name and Purpose)
This committee is named asthe editing committee of “International Journal of Diaspora & Cultural Criticism.” The committee defines the relevant details regarding the editing process and publication of the “International Journal of Diaspora & Cultural Criticism” (hereafter referred to as the “Journal”).
Article 2 (Formation of the Editing Committee)
- (Formation) The Editorial Committee will consist of 10 or more acknowledged Korean or international scholars who are specialized in the study of diaspora, migration and immigration, Asian culture, and mobility. The Editorial Committee is made up of the editor-in-chief, vice editor-in-chief, and Committee members.
- (Appointment) Selection of the editor-in-chief will be based on recommendations from the Editorial Committee and will then be appointed by the publisher of the Journal. The vice editor-in-chief and the rest of Committee members will be recommended by the editor-in-chief and will then be appointed by the publisher of the Journal.
- (Qualifications) The Editorial Committee members including the editor-in-chief must be:
- Ph.D holders or full-time faculty at a university.
- Those who published more than 3 articles in prominent academic journals at home or abroad (KCI, Scopus, SSCI, A & HCI listed journals) or at least one academic book within the last three years.
- (Appointment of the Managing Editor) The Editorial Committee may have an editorial staff member to assist in editing works, who is appointed by the editor-in-chief.
Article 3 (Term)
The editor-in-chief and Editorial Committee members will be appointed for five years and their tenure is renewable.
Article 4 (Dismissal)
In the following cases, the editor-in-chief or any Editorial Committee member can be dismissed at the suggestion of three or more other editorial members and with the consent of the publisher of the Journal.
- The editorial member has committed unethical academic activities (e.g. plagiarism).
- The editorial member has severely tarnished reputation of the Publishing Institute or the Journal.
- The editorial member is incapable of carrying out duties of editorial works as a result of physical or mental problems.
Article 5 (Duties)
- The Editorial Committee is responsible for planning themes and selecting editors for special issues.
- The Editorial Committee is responsible for organizing various academic activities to revitalize the Journal.
Article 6 (Editorial Meetings)
- (Convening Editorial Meetings) The editor-in-chief can convene online or off-line editorial meetings. In addition, the editor-in-chief can hold international editorial conferences to discuss important Journal-related issues.
- (Requisites of Valid Meetings) Editorial meetings are valid when more than a quarter of the standing Editorial Committee members are present.
- (Agendas for Editorial Meetings) The agendas for editorial meetings shall be proposed by the attending editor-in-chief or editorial members.
- (Decisions of Meetings) The decisions of editorial meetings are finalized and confirmed with the consent of more than two-thirds of the attending editors.
Article 7 (Decisions on Publication of Submitted Papers)
Decisions on publication of submitted papers are made according to the “Review Procedure” of the Journal.
