Undergraduate College of Engineering

Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering aims to foster talents with the ability to plan, design, manufacture and operate various types of machinery and aviation systems which are te foundation of all industries.

The Division is divided into two advanced enginerring certification progrograms (Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering).

In line with the wave of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Mechanical Engineering program systematically trains basic science and applied epidemiological knowledge for multiple interdisciplinary studies. It operates practical education and research programs focused on dynamics and control, thermal oil and energy, design and materials, and manfucatuing and automation. Students may further expand their career path by entering graduate school or working at national/public research institutions, specifically in the field of automobile industry, heavy industry, shipbuilding industry, construction industry,

The Aerospace Engineering program carries out resesarch and education on the following areas; theory of flight (aircraft, launch vehicle, spacecraft, satellite) and its interpretation, design of aviononics and aircraft control system, manufacturing and performance evaluation, and convergence technology of aerospace, IT and system engineering. Students may further expand their career path by entering graduate school or working at specialized areas such as aerospace R&D centers, aircraft operators, aviononics and mechatronics companies, and other relevant research institutions that require the application of automobile, autonomous intelligence and IT technology.
