Department of Organic & Nano System Engineering

Organic and nano systems engineering is a field of engineering that builds on the understanding of polymer-inclusive carbon-based organic nano systems while designing materials with functions suited to their particular use through physicochemical controls and predictions. The field also deals with a comprehensive range of application systems via processing. Organic and nano systems engineering finds applicability in the fields of energy, environment, biology, medicine, electronics, IT, sports/leisure, textiles/clothing, civil engineering/construction, and in the military/defense sectors.

The objective of the Department of Organic & Nano System Engineering at Konkuk University (KU) is to foster high-quality professionals able to utilize their practical, specialized research capabilities in advanced materials industries by equipping students' with new engineering knowledge and techniques from related fields, while broadening their expertise in polymer-inclusive carbon-based organic nano materials and systems.
