Professor Ji-Hong Lim Publishes a Letter on Melanoma Metastatis in Nature

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">On September 2, 2016, Konkuk University announced that Professor Ji-Hong Lim of the Department of Biomedical Chemistry at the GLOCAL Campus in Chungju published a letter titled “A PGC1α-mediated transcriptional axis suppresses melanoma metastasis” in <em>Nature</em> with researchers from Harvard Medical School. Melanoma is particularly well known for its rapid progression towards metastasis, and the researchers identified that PGC1α, a transcriptional coactivator, suppresses the process, suggesting new therapeutic opportunities. Professor Lim’s research received funding from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the National Research Foundation of Korea.<br /></span></p>
