Professor Ki Soo Park of the Department of Biological Engineering has co-authored a front-page article of the Journal of Materials Chemistry B published by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The article titled “A simple and eco-friendly one-pot synthesis of nuclease-resistant DNA–inorganic hybrid nanoflowers” was written in collaboration with researchers from KAIST, Gachon University and Chung-Ang University. Together, Professor Park and the researchers have developed a simple and eco-friendly method for the one-pot synthesis of DNA–copper nanoflowers that exhibit high loading efficiencies, low cytotoxicities, and strong resistance against nucleases. The study was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea’s Mid-career Researcher Support Program and Basic Science Research Program as well as the Center for BioNano Health-Guard’s Global Frontier Project.
