PhD Student of the Department of Veterinary Medicine Han-joon Kim was selected as a member of the Excellent Young Scientist Group by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), a prominent society of top scientists. This year, KAST chose members of the 2nd Excellent Young Scientist Group among potential candidates who published theses in world’s renowned scientific journals for the Young Korean Academy of Science and Technology (Y-KAST), a group consists of brilliant young scientists under the age of 45, through its own selection process. Mr. Kim who joined the KU veterinary clinical pathology lab through related-combined master’s and PhD program in 2012 has been conducting research on analysis of peripheral nerve regeneration and biocompatibility by placing electrodes into individual nerve cells.
