Konkuk University's Academy of Mobility Humanities (President Professor In-seob Shin) has been selected as a member of the lifetime institution of Global University Network for Innovation, an international education and research network supported by global institutions such as UNESCO.Supported by UNESCO, United Nations University and the ACUP, GUNi was founded in 1999 under the recognition that it should be committed to helping institutions of higher learning institutions overcome the challenges the world is facing today and actively participate in promoting positive change in society.GUNi institutions are carrying out various activities with an emphasis on sharing and spreading the social responsibility of the university on a global scale through innovation of education and research. Currently, more than 210 universities and research institutes in 78 countries are members, and Konkuk University’s Academy of Mobility Humanities has become the first research institute in Asia who obtained lifetime membership.Konkuk University's Academy of Mobility Humanities, which is selected as a member of the Global University Network for Innovation, has been supported by the Korea Research Foundation for the past seven years and working on the study that "Mobility Humanities: Future Humanities and Mobility Society based on the Evolution of Human and Technology" Implementation 'as their research theme. The study aims to establish a new paradigm that humanities should present as a solution to the situation in which the rapidly changing mobility technology defines the way of life.They will share their vision for social responsibility with members of the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi) in the future and conduct research to contribute to the sustainability of the world where technologies and humans coexist. The President of Academy of Mobility Humanities, Professor In-seob Shin said "Being selected as a member of GUNi for the first time among the Asian research institutes mean that our Academy has been recognized internationally.” And added “In order to fulfill the social responsibilities of the research institute, the Academy of Mobility Humanities will work with GUNi members for world-class research, education, and community service."
