Ms. Sung-Shin Ahn (Adviser: Prof. Soonyoung Shin), a graduate student in the Department of Biological Sciences, Graduate School of Sanghuh Life Science, Konkuk University, won the best paper presentation award in the oral presentation category (Title of paper: Agerarin improves the skin barrier function by targeting the JAK-STAT3 pathway).Ms. Sung-Shin Ahn was an excellent student with a 4.07 GPA in the Department of Life Science and participated in research activities for four years. At the ICGSK 2019, Ms. Shin’s research team received the best paper award by presenting the research findings on the mechanism of the gene expression molecule of Filagrin, which is important for skin barrier generation, based on the world's first fluorinated natural substance.Ms. Sung-Shin Ahn said, “I was excited about the process of expanding the knowledge I have learned during my undergraduate years, developing new hypotheses, and confirming them through experiments. "I am pleased to be recognized at the international conference for the outstanding achievements of research at Konkuk University."
