Konkuk University’s Department of Aerospace Engineering students, Yong-Hyun Nam, Master degree student, and Sung-Hoon Lee, Ph.D. student (Advisor, Professor Chang-Joo Kim) won the 'Dynamic session best paper award' at the ARF2019, Asia-Australian Rotorcraft Forum 2019. (Paper title: “Solving Rotorcraft Emergency Landing Trajectory Optimization Problems Using New Approach for Direct Method”) Professor Chang-Joo Kim Yong-hyun Nam Sung-Hoon Lee Testing the helicopter's ability to fly in an emergency requires not only many flight tests, but also a variety of hazardous environments, including engine stalls. Computer modeling and simulation is a useful tool for predicting and avoiding these kinds of situations. In this paper, the two students proposed a new analytical tool that can predict the performance of the aircraft and formulate a flight test strategy.Meanwhile, the ARF2019, Asian-Australian Rotorcraft Forum 2019 was attended by Turkish Aerospace Industries and the VFS (Vertical Flight Society) and is a place to exchange academic and technical research related to rotorcraft.
