The paper on impulse vector for input-shaping control, published by Professor Chul-Goo Kang of the College of Mechanical Engineering, Konkuk University, was selected as the cover paper of the August 2019 issue of IEEE Control Systems Magazine, an international journal of control engineering (Title of paper: Impulse Vectors for Input-Shaping Control: A mathematical tool to design and analyze input shapers). Professor Kang defined 'Impulse Vector' as a mathematical tool to design and analyze the input molding machine for residual vibration suppression, and proved its usefulness by designing and experimentally verifying a new input molding machine. Impulse vector is a technology used in cranes, industrial robots, computer hard disk drives, three-dimensional measuring machines, and space shuttles.
