Prof. Youngjoon Na Nominated as the Winner of ‘K-New Deal’

<p>Professor Youngjoon Na (CEO of ANTLLER) from Animal Resources Research Center at Konkuk University is nominated as the winter of ‘K-New Deal of the Month’ from the government for developing the data services of livestock public data.<span style="font-size: 11pt;"><br /><br /><img style="margin-left: auto; display: block; margin-right: auto;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11819638" width="652" height="296" /><br /><br /></span>Professor Na developed the service with ‘livestock tracebility’ data which is opened on Public Data Portal. The system is to inform livestock farmers of how to select high-quality calves by utilizing and analyzing public data related to the registration information of Korean cattle in the market. It is expected to help increase farmers’ profits in the medium and long-term.<br /><br />Professor Na focused on research on developing data-based animal welfare and production models. Professor Na created the service in order to reasonably improve the purchase cost of calves, which accounts for a large portion of the production cost of livestock farms.</p>
