Soo-min Lee and Joo-young Kim of Konkuk University’s College of Sanghuh Life Science (Prof. Jae-bong Chang from Department of Food Marketing and Safety) won the Excellence Award at the ‘5th College Student Thesis Competition using FIS in Food Industry ‘ hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation.In a thesis titled ‘The Effects of ESG Management of Food Manufacturers on Corporate Value and Profit’, they presented the results of an empirical analysis of how ESG management, which have recently been discussed as a keyword for sustainable growth, affects corporate value and profit of food manufacturers.In August, the two students have won the Excellence Award for their thesis, ‘Fruit Beers for Women; What and How?’ at the ‘14th College Student Thesis Competition’ hosted by the Korean Association of Agriculture and Food Policy and Korea Rural Economic Institute.Prof. Chang who led the students said, “They have achieved outstanding results by actively preparing the entire process including selecting a thesis topic, collecting data and analyzing even though they are still undergraduate students,” and “I hope that it was a meaningful time to review and apply what they have learned in class through this thesis.”
