Yoo-bin Lim from Konkuk University’s College of Art & Design (Department of Living Design) won the grand prize at the 2021 KTDA (Korea Textile Design Award) for her work ‘Oriental Variety’, and Ji-yeon Ahn won gold prize for ‘Chase-the-bear!’. Yoo-bin Lim Ji-yeon AhnThe KTDA which is hosted by the Korean Society of Fashion Business and Korea Textile News, is marking its 9th anniversary this year with the purpose of leading the national competitiveness in the textile fashion industry by strengthening the global capabilities.The 2021 KTDA accepted a total of 146 works and selected 7 main works for main awards, 40 works for excellence awards and 99 works for special awards with 7 judges attending on the 16th.Yoo-bin Lim said, “With my greatest desire for everyone to respect each other and be in harmony in this modern society, I have used lilies as motif of my work.”Ji-yeon Ahn said, “I have visualized a story of a hunter chasing after bears, fairies and cute animals in a forest of thick bushes.” Oriental Variety Chase-the-bear!
