Konkuk University Recovers its Number of Exchange/Visiting Students to Pre-COVID Level

<p><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: 한컴산뜻돋움;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Office of International Affairs at Konkuk University announced that a total of 202 exchange/visiting students entered Konkuk University in Spring 2022 recovering to pre-COVID level.</span><br /><br /><img width="657" height="370" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="https://www.konkuk.ac.kr/do/MessageBoard/ArticleFile.do?id=11841228" /><br /><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: 한컴산뜻돋움;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">In Spring 2019 before the pandemic, 194 exchange/visiting students were registered at Konkuk University. However, the number rapidly decreased in 2022(120 students) and 2021(103 students) when overseas travel was daunting globally. Amid the whole situation, more students visited Konkuk University in Spring 2022 than three years ago revitalizing the campus atmosphere.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 한컴산뜻돋움;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Vice President for International Affairs, Donghyuck Lee, Ph.D., said, “Students have applied to the programs as before since most countries went back to normal after the COVID-19,” and, “It is likely that the students will continuously be interested in Korea with a surge of various cultural content such as K-drama and K-pop.”</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 한컴산뜻돋움;"><span style="color: #000000; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">As of Spring 2022, there are 202 exchange/visiting students in total with the largest number of students in Europe, 35 in Germany, 33 in France and 23 in the Netherlands.</span><br /><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><img style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="https://www.konkuk.ac.kr/do/MessageBoard/ArticleFile.do?id=11841230" /></span><br /><br /><img width="654" height="399" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="https://www.konkuk.ac.kr/do/MessageBoard/ArticleFile.do?id=11841229" /><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
