Konkuk University joins the Youth Employment Membership organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor joining in the ‘ESG Support Project for Youth-Friendly Corporate’.Konkuk University runs a program to provide job training and field experiences for the young as it is selected as the ‘ESG Support Project for Youth-Friendly Corporate’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Enterprises Federation and Human Resources Development Service of Korea.The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the results of ESG Support Project for Youth-Friendly Corporate at the international conference hall at Konkuk University on the 7th, and awarded 38 corporates certificates of the Youth Employment Membership.Konkuk University is the only university that received the certificate among the 38 participants. Chairperson Ja Eun Yoo of Konkuk University Foundation received the certificate from Kyung Duk An, the Minister of Employment and Labor.‘ESG Support Project for Youth-Friendly Corporate’ selects some of the best cases in job training and field experiences for the young in terms of ESG management while the Ministry of Employment and Labor supports operating expenses, participant allowances and consulting for the project. It was newly promoted this year to encourage the youth employment project for mid-sized businesses.In the competition, a total of 13 programs were selected by 38 participating companies as a sole team or in a consortium, and about 2,400 young people were given opportunities to develop their job competencies through job training and field experiences.Konkuk University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation offers *publishing ESG reports in the mid-sized businesses after ESG related job training *SW engineering education for the young majoring in Humanities, job experiences in small IT businesses *job experiences regarding technology transfer, commercialization and startups with POSTECH Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Elice Academy and InnoBiz in the field of management and IT.Dong Ryul Kown, the Associate Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation said, “Throughout the program, the students majoring in Humanities will also gain an opportunity to learn about IT or software technology.
