Konkuk Language Institute (Dean Yeom, Jae Ung) was awarded a commendation from the Minister of Justice for its achievement of Korea Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP) by the Ministry of Justice.The Korea Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP) by the Ministry of Justice has been implemented for the settlement of foreign immigrants in Korean society. Once the immigrants complete the program, they will be granted a variety of benefits including Korean nationality and residence permission visa.
With a total of 356 classes from beginner to advanced courses, there has been 5,925 students at Konkuk Language Institute so far. In addition to KIIP, Konkuk Language Institute is actively participating in establishing policies for foreign immigrants. In recognition of its achievement for KIIP at Korea Immigration Service, Konkuk Language Institute received an order of merit and commendation from the Minister of Justice. Dean Yeom said, “The importance of KIIP is becoming greater amid the reality where the number of immigrants increase due to the low birth rates and aging population,” and, “Konkuk Language Institute will do its best to be a good role model for other institutions in operating KIIP.”
