<p style="text-align: justify;"> <img width="154" height="211" style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11761711" /><br /><br /><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Professor Yong-seok Hwang (Department of Media Communication) at Konkuk University's College of Arts, awarded the Presidential Commendation for being selected as a meritorious person of communication promotion on the 'Science and Information Communication Day 2019' hosted by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communication and the Korea Communications Commission.<br /></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">The ceremony was to boost pride and honor through a government award to science and information and communication technology (ICT) advocates, realize innovation growth through 5G + (plus) strategy and a people-oriented fourth industrial revolution, and to motivate building up the will to embody technology-based inclusion society.<br /></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">The event awarded a prize by evaluating a person’s contribution to the development of science and technology, ICT, national informatization and ICT convergence.<br /></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Professor Yong-seok Hwang has served as a member of Konkuk University's Digital Communications Broadcasting and Communications Commission Competition Assessment Committee, as a member of the Media Diversity Committee, and as a policy committee member of the Internet Autonomy Policy Organization. He has been contributed to various field such as the Digital Index Gap Indicator, and the Internet Self Regulation Activity.<br /></span></p>
