The Seoul Tourism Foundation "recommends campus in Seoul if you want to enjoy cherry blossom in a special place. A campus is also good for taking pictures. But for those who want more than the flowers, there is also a place to visit. It will be a perfect spring day trip if you take a look at the flower and the recommended places near the campus." ○ The space symbolizes Konkuk University is Lake Ilgam. It is an artificial lake built with the idea that it is necessary to constantly grind and polish the discipline as if the flowing water keeps flowing until the lake is clear. The lake is very big that it is hard to believe that it is on a university campus. When the spring cold comes, the forsythia blooms around the lake and informs that the spring has come. Starting from early April, cherry blossoms bloom along the Lake Ilgam and change into colorful clothes. There is a rainbow-shaped bridge in the northeast of the lake, and in the north of the lake has Cheongsimdae, where you can sit in the shade of rattan and gaze at the scenery. When you sit at Cheongsimdae, you can see the subway going to the Konkuk University station. There is an interesting legend that the love is accomplished by seeing the scenes where the opposite sides of the train meet with a person who has an unrequited love at Cheongdamdae. Inside the lake, there is an island called Wow Island. Wow Island is an island of birds with white herons and herons. In 2009, it was confirmed that a heron breed as a group to breed the young, and the ecological value became higher. Birds' water jets on tranquil lakes are a specialty of Lake Ilgam.    ○ Tip. A place to visit at Konkuk Campus – Sanghuh Memorial Museum It is a museum to honor Dr. Seok Chang Yoo, the founder of the Konkuk University, as an independent activist. It is a modern building with history since it was used as a hall of the North-West Society of Korea, which was a patriotic enlightenment group in which Prof. Changho Ahn was active. On the first floor, there are a variety of memorabilia that you can feel the footsteps of Dr. Seok Chang Yoo.
