Konkuk University announced that President Sanggi Min granted an audience with Peter Stoicheff, President of the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and discussion regarding joint research areas, academic exchange cooperation, and student exchange agreements were made.
Meanwhile, President Sanggi Min attended the Korea-Canada University of Saskatchewan University Networking Seminar hosted by the Canadian Embassy in Seoul on 15th and concluded an MOU with the representative universities of Saskatchewan on research cooperation and student dispatch. Founded in 1907, Saskatchewan University is a Canadian public university with 30,000 students. The university has 13 departments, 3 graduate schools, and nearly 200 programs. It is a member of the U15 (Group of Canadian Research Universities), and famous for research university in Canada. Following the meeting with President Sanggi Min, the President of Saskatchewan University held a meeting with key researchers from Konkuk University and sought mutual cooperation. Mr. Min suggested that if two universities identify joint research areas and promote academic exchange cooperation and student exchange agreements, they will contribute to the expansion of exchanges between Korea and Canada and academic development between the two universities. The meeting was attended by Dr. Meghna Ramaswamy, Director of International Research, Dong-eun Kim, Vice president of Office of International Affairs, and Professor Jungbok Lee(College of Veterinary Medicine).
