Following the decision of the Ministry of Education to additionally postpone the start day of elementary, middle and high schools due to the spread of COVID-19, the university shared opinions from members of the university, such as students and professors, and decided by the Academic Affairs Committee to schedule the face-to-face lecture to start from April 13 (Mon), which will be postponed for 2 weeks from that was originally scheduled for March 30 (Mon).
Although there are many concerns and inconveniences regarding the change of the academic schedule due to the spread of COVID-19, we ask for your patience and cooperation as it is an inevitable additional measure to prevent collective infection and prevent COVID-19 from spreading through classrooms where crowded with students.
KU is also closely reviewing preparations for emergencies after the scheduled face-to-face class schedule. After the final exam, the final grade input period will be expanded to 2 weeks and the summer classes will be flexibly operated to ensure sufficient reinforcement of face-to-face lectures such as experiment and practical trainings. In particular, the academic schedule for the midterm and final exams will be flexibly operated through the discretion of the instructor and consultation with students.
With the extension of online lectures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the lockdown of main buildings of university and the restriction of outsiders' access have been extended for 2 weeks to continue until April 12th (Sunday). Even after the face-to-face lectures begin, regular quarantine disinfection by buildings, body temperature measurement for entrants, and identification will be conducted and hand sanitizers will be provided for each college.
