Comission of Start-up Support, Konkuk University Medical Center and Commission of Software Business of Konkuk University host the contest ‘KU Medical Health Hackathon’ together.
‘KU Medical Health Hackathon’ is held along with the main topic, ‘the changing medical environment in the post-COVID era’.
The purpose of the contest is to create a collaborative place for medical personnel, developers, students, and the public to find and develop new ideas under the topic of healthcare industry in response to post-COVID era, thus, to promote continuous development in medical fields including leading new business model, building network among the participants, operation of medical big data, smart medical, and bio-convergence.A staff at Konkuk University explained, “Participants are allowed to take part in other topics such as ideas, products and solutions related to bio, medical, and healthcare in response to the post-COVID era with creative products, solutions, AI and big data.”The contest will be held form Oct 12nd, the orientation day to mentoring period, which will be held from Oct 12nd to 23rd. Henceforth, the presentation evaluation will be on Oct 28th, and the following award ceremony on Nov 6th.The total prize of 13.6 million won will be provided to the public winner with 3 million won and the student winner with 1.5 million won by categories. The contest will also support the participants with mentoring from Konkuk University Medical Center, Comission of Start-up Support, and Commission of Software Business. In addition, 20 sets of SkinInOut Cosmetics, sponsored products by Nature BioTree Co., will be awarded to a winning team.
The application date is from Sep 14th to Sep 28th, and the application method is referred in the attached poster.Regarding the contest, a staff stated, “We hope that the contest will contribute to job creation in Korea as well as innovative development in medical fields by finding out new business models, promoting social issues in medical fields, and offering proactive resolutions to medical issues to respond to the post-COVID era.”
