Konkuk University announced on the 19th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with Siemens Industry Software to cultivate professionals in the smart mobility industry and to foster talent with convergence engineering skills.President of Konkuk University, Young Jae Jeon, Executive Vice President for Public Affairs, Il Min Chung, Dean of College of Engineering, Jeong Hoo Choi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Soo Hyung Park, Professor Ki Choon Cho from Department of Smart Vehicle Engineering, CEO of Siemens Industry Software, Byung Joon Oh, Division Director, Bong Am Kim and Head Director Soo Ah Lee have attended the opening ceremony held at the Administration Building.
Konkuk University and Siemens will jointly develop the software education curriculum and textbooks under the cooperative relationship, and will open Siemens Digital Industry Software Solutions courses and lectures including three-dimensional design and processing, computerized application analysis, optimal design, and automous driving, starting from 2020. In 2021, they are planning to open major courses based on Seimens Digital Industry Software Solutions.
Siemens Digital Industry Software will actively provide solutions for the operation of online software solutions curriculum conducted by Konkuk University and issue software education certification to trainees who have completed the curriculum.
