On 2 September 2013, ten students of the Korean Department of William Gladstone School, Sofia, Bulgaria, visited Konkuk University along with their principal and teacher. The Center for International Faculty and Student Services of the Office of International Affairs briefed them on the university and its undergraduate degree program, and learned about the Bulgarian school, which was established in 1906. About 2,000 students study at this school for the elementary (four-year), middle-school (three-year) and high-school (five-year) programs. The high-school program has ten departments for foreign languages including Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.
