The Chinese Commerce & Business major (Division of International Studies, College of Global Integrated Studies) at Konkuk University (KU) offers distinguished, top-class education for its students. The program's outstanding features can be easily seen in the admission criteria and requirements. For instance, only 12 new students are admitted each year. As third-year students are required to take classes at Nanjing University (NJU), China, they are expected to have passion for foreign language acquisition. The city of Nanjing, home of NJU, is located between Shanghai and Beijing, where China's traditional and modern cultures coexist. Founded in 1902, NJU is one of the oldest and most prestigious comprehensive universities in China.
NJU provides language courses as well as in-depth knowledge and expertise in trade and business, allowing the students to naturally acquire a global perspective. After two years at KU and two years at NJU, students are cultivated as well-rounded global talents. In other educational settings, it would typically take more than a decade for such achievement. This is why the Chinese Commerce & Business major has recently emerged as one of the most popular programs at KU.
In sum, after studying for four semesters each at the two universities, and upon completion of all degree requirements and a thesis, students can acquire dual degrees in KU's Chinese Commerce & Business and NJU's International Economy and Trade. The alumni are expected to become highly competitive job seekers as they can explore various employment options with highly proficient English and Chinese.
