Konkuk University Museum held an exhibition commemorating the re-opening of the Sanghuh Memorial Exhibition Gallery on Mar. 14, 2014.
The Sanghuh Memorial Exhibition Gallery exhibits the legacy of Dr. Yoo Seok-chang, the founder of Konkuk University (KU), through 100 relics and 50 photos, along with a documentary of the foundation of the University as well as his life and educational philosophy.
Konkuk University Museum has been carrying out the University's "history compilation project" involving the collection of records, photos, and symbolic items related with the University to hold this event.
In 1931, Dr. Yoo had established the Saheoyoung medical clinic, which became the People's Hospital afterwards, to take care of unprivileged Korean people. The medical institution developed into the present-day KU, setting the foundation for fostering the nation's talent.
