The Konkuk University (KU) Startup Support Group will be holding Forum Mentors, a special lecture where successful experts and entrepreneurs share their success stories and know-hows, free of charge, on a monthly basis. Forum Mentors is a form of talent donation which delivers the message of startup spirit as well as providing the mentors' life lessons to students and the general public who are interested in startups.
Around 1,000 students and non-students participated in the past two occasions of Forum Mentors which took place in April and May of this year. The mentors of past forums include Mr. Seok Chul Kwon, CEO of CUVEPIA Inc., an information security software company, Reverend Hae-sung Kim, Director of the Global Village of Love-Sharing (지구촌사랑나눔), Korea's largest organization devoted to supporting immigrants residing in Korea, and several other speakers pioneering different areas of society.
Taking into account the increasing interest and participation in the event, it will be offered on a regular basis on the last Tuesday of each month. The third Forum Mentors is scheduled for June 24, 2014. The KU Startup Support Group plans to invite not only startup entrepreneurs but also eminent persons in other areas of society to offer participants a wide range of knowledge and wisdom.
