Four laboratories of Konkuk University, Institute of Science and Technology/Chemistry and Electrochemical Nanobiosensor, were selected as 2020 Best Laboratories for Safey Management by Ministry of Science and ICT.
Led by Safety Management Team, Konkuk University is making great efforts to build a safe environment for laboratories by its annual application and designation for Ministry of Science and ICT. Based on its efforts, four laboratories were selected as best laboratories for safety management this year.
The selected laboratories are as follows: Electrochemical Nanobiosensor Laboratory from Department of Chemistry at College of Sciences (Professor Seongjung Kwon), Environmental Engineering Laboratory from Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at College of Engineering (Professor Kiyoung Park), Physical Analysis Laboratory at KU Bio Center for Research Facilities (Director Junghoo Choi) and Separation Analysis Research Laboratory at KU Tech Center for Research Facilities (Director Hankeuk Seo)
Director of Safety Management, Hobong Bae said, “We have greatly contributed to strengthening the safety management capability of laboratory and improving the safety awareness of researchers through certification of best laboratory for safety management. We will make continuous efforts to build foundation for more laboratories to participate in the certification system in the future, as well.”
