Center for General Education Elective Research and Evaluation from Sanghuh College at Konkuk University opens new general elective courses for Spring 2021 as a part of University Innovation Support Project; PATH (Basic General Education Elective), Loss and Recovery (Advanced General Education Elective)
Both courses are developed under an objective ‘General education to solve real world problems’. Professors from renowned overseas universities (Harvard University, Smith College, etc.) collaborated in the process of developing these courses. ◇ New General Education Elective ‘PATH’ (Basic General Education Elective)
‘PATH’, which is opened as a basic general education elective, aims to provide opportunities for students to set their own vision and mission as well as to introspect their ‘future path’ beyond the concept of career. Professor Chang Kyu Park from Division of Chemical Engineering at College of Engineering, Professor Myung Hee Lee from Sanghuh College and Professor So Young Lee said, “We have designed this course with the hope of providing Konkuk students with valuable time to think about their ‘path’ and enjoy the journey of finding it during this difficult time.” The course will be taught by three professors as co-teaching and opened every semester. ◇ New General Education Elective ‘Loss and Recovery’ (Advanced General Education Elective)
‘Loss and Recovery’, which is opened as advanced general education elective, is developed by Professor Gil Soo Kim at College of Liberal Arts and expected to be run every semester. The purpose of this course is to cultivate the recovery of human nature by analyzing various causes of loss faced in our lives and exploring the right recovery base on the classic literature.Director So Young Lee, Center for General Education Elective Research and Evaluation from Sanghuh College announced in ‘2020 KU Innovation Forum’ on January 28th, “We hope that the new general education electives will be representative courses in the near future.”
