Konkuk University (KU) held the 2014 Otemon Gakuin University Summer Program as one of its short-term programs from Aug. 30 to Sept. 6. Fourteen students and two professors from Otemon Gakuin University in Osaka, Japan, participated in this program to experience Korean culture and history.
To learn about Korean history in depth, Otemon students and professors visited the War Memorial of Korea, the National Museum of Korea, and the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall. They also enjoyed cultural experiences such as making tteok (Korean rice cake) and visiting various sites including Myeong-dong, Itaewon, Sinchon, and Hongdae (Hongik University area). Other activities included administering campus surveys and watching baseball and soccer games.
