Konkuk University's (KU) Startup Support Group is offering eight startup courses in Fall 2014, which includes two from the previous semester and six newly launched classes. The course offerings were made available through the support from the "Campus CEO Cultivation Project" of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Business Agency in 2013 and KU's selection as a "Startup-Leading University" by the Small and Medium Business Administration of Korea (SMBA) and Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development in 2014.
The courses cover the following topics: blue ocean and startup trends, startup solutions, entrepreneurial spirit, commercialization of venture technology, etc.
Students who complete these startup courses will be provided with information on startup clubs or competitions, while they will be eligible for receiving scholarships as startup funds for outstanding startup plans. Through these endeavors, the KU Startup Support Group intends to expand students' opportunities for initiating startups.
