To provide diverse opportunities for academic experience and foreign language acquisition, Konkuk University (KU) is expanding its study abroad programs through which Konkuk students can study at prestigious universities abroad.
KU Office of International Affairs held an information session for overseas exchange student and short-term programs on Nov. 26, 2014, through which students were informed of the status of Konkuk's international partnership and exchange. As of Fall 2014, KU has concluded partnerships with 434 universities in 58 countries, and more than 700 students are studying in overseas universities and institutions through Konkuk's numerous international programs.
KU's specific endeavors for supporting and expanding study abroad programs include actively concluding partnership agreements, strengthening substantial mutual student exchange, and amending international internship programs.
This information session was differentiated from past sessions in that the focus was on the sharing of experiences of the students who had already participated in the programs.
KU Office of International Affairs had held the "Snack Attack" event on Nov. 25 to respond to students' questions on study abroad programs as well as to inform them of the information session. On Dec. 19 at the International House (Room 104), it will hold an in-depth information session for each region (Australia and Asian regions, Europe, Japan, and the U.S.) to provide more detailed information to interested students.
