The Konkuk University (KU) New English Website Preview was held on Nov. 27, 2014, at the International House (Seminar Room, 2nd floor). Eleven students (five exchange and six visiting students) from five different countries in North America, Europe, and Asia participated in the preview session. This session was hosted by the International Programs Team, KU Office of International Affairs.
Ms. Eun Jin Cho, KU English Editor (International Programs Team), and Ms. Lisa Jackson (intern; visiting student) presented the new English website which will be officially launched in mid-December after showing the current English website for comparison purposes. Then, the participants completed a survey with ten rating questions and three open-ended questions to provide their feedback on the current and new websites. A group discussion with several comments and suggestions for the new website was also held.
Some rating questions and the participants' corresponding responses in average scores are as follows. (1 means poor/difficult, 10 means excellent/easy)
1) Please rate the design and layout of the new website. [9.64]
2) In your opinion, does the new website contain sufficient and helpful information? [9.55]
3) Do you think the new website is more user-friendly, compared to the existing one? [9.50]
4) How easy was it to find the information you were looking for on the new website? [8.91]
5) Assuming that you are an applicant or a newly admitted international student (regardless of the program admitted to), do you think the new website will be useful? [9.59]
6) Please rate the overall quality of the new website. [9.18]
7) Would you recommend using the new website to other international students? [9.82]
Each student was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation as well as a small gift for his/her feedback and participation.
