KU Selected as an Official Max Planck Partner Group

<p>Konkuk University (KU) School of Medicine (Dean: Prof. Ki Il Uhm) announced on April 14, 2014, that the University has been selected as an official Partner Group of the Max Planck Institutes based in Germany. With this as a momentum, KU will be promoting a full-fledged joint stem cell research.</p> <p>The Max Planck Institute supports its Partner Groups to promote a future-oriented, creative research environment for superb researchers overseas. Prior to April 2014, there were more than 40 Max Planck Partner Groups worldwide; therefore, KU became the 41st Partner Group. A "Partner Group" may be elevated to a "Center" based on the evaluation of its research outcomes.</p> <p style="text-align: center;"><img src="ArticleFile.do?id=11604132" /></p> <p>The Max Planck Society is the largest European organization dedicated to research. Since its establishment in 1948, 17 Max Planck scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize.
