Konkuk University (KU) announced on April 10, 2015, that it concluded memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Telecom Bretagne and Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), prestigious educational and research institutions in France. The agreed areas of cooperation include faculty and student exchange, exchange of research information, and joint research and academic conferences for the next five years.
Telecom Bretagne is one of France's top institutions (i.e., grande école) in the fields of science and engineering. Through the agreement with Konkuk, students of both schools are expected to have the opportunity to study as exchange students at the respective partner institution.
CNRS is a world-class research institute which has concluded an agreement with the BK21 PLUS (Brain Korea 21 Program for Leading Universities & Students) Project Group for Specialized Degree Program in Cultural Contents & Convergent Communication of KU Dept. of Digital Culture & Contents and Dept. of Communication Science. The agreement will now enable Konkuk graduate students to visit French research institutes supported by CNRS freely.
