Konkuk University (KU) announced on Feb. 22, 2015, that its study abroad programs have been expanded in regions such as Europe and North America to provide students with diverse academic experiences as well as opportunities for foreign language acquisition.
This year, Konkuk's international network is composed of 448 partner universities and institutions in 59 countries, which is an addition of 40 universities and institutions and four countries of 2014. Through agreements regarding dual degree program, exchange student program, international internship, overseas short-term language program, etc., KU plans to send about 1,200 students to partner universities overseas. Konkuk has sent 578, 657, and 687 students abroad through these various programs in 2011, 2012, and 2013, respectively; in 2014, 722 Konkuk students had the opportunity to study abroad.
