On April 26. 2015, Konkuk University (KU) Student Ambassadors (aka KonWoo & KonHee) and 10 KU Guerrilla Gardening Club members participated in the urban environmental improvement project co-organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Hyundai Motor Company, and the Association of Student Ambassador-Korea (ASA-K).
Konkuk students volunteered to plant flowers on small pieces of idle land (referred to as "guerrilla gardening") and paint wall murals as part of the campaign, in the area near Hangang Middle School in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. KU Guerrilla Gardening Club is composed of students of College of Life & Environmental Sciences.
Guerrilla gardening is a civil movement for environmental improvement mainly involving planting flowers and plants in unused land in urban areas. Launched in 2014, KU Guerrilla Gardening Club's activities started from the campus and reached other spots in Seoul such as the vicinity of Konkuk University Subway Station, Ttukseom, and Yeonhui-dong.
