Konkuk University announced on the 17th that it has signed a MOU with ECMiner Co., Ltd. on invigoration of education and research of big data in the main conference room at Administration Building on the 16th.In the donation agreement ceremony, CEO Kwang Ki Min of ECMiner Co., Ltd., Director Sook Choi of Technology Research Institute, Sales Director Yoon Ki Kim, Young Jae Jeon, the President of Konkuk University, Hyun Chul Lee, the Vice President for Public Affairs, Jee In Kim, the Executive Director of Innovation Sharing University Business, Hyung Seok Kim, the Vice President for Career Development and Placement, In Yang, the Director of Center of Innovation Sharing University Management and Jae Eun Park, the researcher of Center of Innovation Sharing University Management participated.
With this agreement, ECMiner Co., Ltd. donated 1,000 copies of software on big data statistical analysis that can be used for three years at Konkuk University.
President Jeon said, “We greatly appreciate the software donation following 2011,” adding that, “We hope that the donated software for our students will be an opportunity for actual development.”
CEO Kwang Ki Min of ECMiner Co., Ltd. delivered that, “ECMiner will fully support Konkuk University in regard to education programs which will be of great help for a future society.”
Prof. Jee In Kim (Executive Director of Innovation Sharing University Business) said, “The donated software is planned to be used as educational equipment to foster talent as it is used in the metaverse education and practice curriculum.”
After the establishment of ECMiner Co., Ltd. in 2000, it develops software to comprehensively analyze data based on statistics, data mining, big data and artificial intelligence. It provides big data analysis software for about 30 universities in Korea and has donated its software to Konkuk University in 2011.
