Konkuk University Alumni Association Building is Transformed Into a Space for Startups and Cafes

<p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;"><span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Konkuk University Alumni Association (President Geon-Su Jung) announced on 15<sup>th</sup> that it has renovated some spaces of Alumni Association Building as startup business offices and cafes.<br /></span></p> <span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><span style="color: #333333;">As the 5<sup>th</sup> floor was inconvenient for alumni due to its noise between the offices, soundproof walls are installed and the offices are fully renovated. The Alumni Association also provides office space and supplies for alumni startups to fulfill their dreams.<br /><br />The office space on the 6<sup>th</sup> floor has been transformed into ‘Alumni Café’ allowing alumni to visit and interact comfortably. The café provides free coffee and snacks so that any alumni can enjoy them while having chats.<br /><br />Through this remodeling, the system air conditioner was installed on the 5<sup>th</sup> and 6<sup>th</sup> floor of the building enabling smooth cooling and heating, reducing energy costs, removing asbestos, which are harmful building materials, and repairing aging fire facilities to add safety.<br /><br />President Jung said, “The remodeling will provide relaxed environment where more alumni can freely communicate with each other,” adding, “We hope that the Alumni Association Building will be a stepping stone to build a strong network of Konkuk University.” <br /><br /></span>A number of alumni were participated in the remodeling business of Alumni Association Building.
