Konkuk Business School announced on the 1st that it has recently earned Business Accreditation twice in a row from AACSB (International Business College Development Council), a global business education program accreditation authority.Throughout the AACSB re-accreditation, Konkuk Business School has been recognized for its excellent education quality in all business degree programs including bachelor’s degree program, master’s degree program and MBA.
AACSB, which is a non-profit organization established in 1916 by principals of major universities in the U.S., awards accreditation through rigorous screening process with education standards that world-class business schools should follow.
Some of the world’s best business schools including Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Pennsylvania, UCLA and London Business School have been awarded AACSB. As AACSB is the most prestigious and representative international accreditation in business education, only about 5% of the world’s business education programs have earned the accreditation.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the screening process was held online for three days from May 10th. The peer review consisted of three deans of overseas business schools assessed if Konkuk Business School meets the global standards of AACSB according to a total of 15 international standards; the university’s strategic plan, faculty research achievement, curriculum, education environment and etc.
Konkuk University was praised for its △industry-academic collaboration research achievements △active alumni mentoring △increased internship opportunity △customized education services centered on consumers △introduction of the PLUS system and micro-lessons.
Professor Miyoung Lee, the Dean of Konkuk Business School, said, “Konkuk University has strived to become the best business school since it obtained AACSB accreditation in 2015 by establishing a systematic management strategy and continuously enhancing the level of research and education,” adding that, “We plan to further improve the quality of business education by establishing Konkuk Business School Strategic Planning Committee.”
The Dean also stated that, “We will promote large-scale research projects jointly participated by professors and recruit of excellent faculty after expanding the external research funds by establishing Management Research Institute and planning a systematic strategy for development fund,” and “In particular, we will focus on the feedback system of AOL(Assurance of Learning) to provide satisfactory education services and let students experience high quality learning achievement.” “We aim to improve the learning environment for students and ensure them to study in a better space by creating K-Creative Room on the first floor of Business Administration Building, a creative and convergence learning space.” she delivered.
