KU Provides Training for Korean Language Lecturers from Foreign Universities

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Konkuk University (KU) invited Korean language lecturers from foreign universities to receive training at its Language Institute during January 11-20, 2016. A total of 24 lecturers from Jilin University and Yanbian University in China, Naresuan University in Thailand, and other foreign universities participated in the training session, which is in its 11<sup>th</sup> year. Throughout the session, the lecturers took classes on Korean grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and literature and participated in activities to deepen their understanding of Korean culture. As such, the lecturers kept abreast of recent developments in the field and formed a professional network among themselves in order to improve the quality of Korean language education. The session also included a candid discussion on the differences in teaching Korean domestically and internationally and on developing educational material and contents tailored to individual countries.<br /><br /><img style="margin-left: auto; display: block; margin-right: auto;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11648694" /><br /></span></p>
