KU President Discusses Cooperation with Souphanouvong University in Laos

<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: 맑은 고딕; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">On January 18, 2016, Konkuk University President Heeyoung Song met with Souphanouvong University President Khamphay Sisavanh to promote cooperation between the two universities. They agreed to exchanges among students and scholars in the areas of education, research, and human resources for Laos’ industrial and technological development. Although Laos is deeply influenced by Vietnam and China as a socialist country, President Sisavanh is advocating to introduce Korea’s educational system. Located in Luang Prabang, Souphanouvong University is named after Laos’ first president and recently received Korea’s support to expand its campus.</span> <br /><br /><img style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11648783" /></span></span></p>
