KU Selected as a “University Leading in Entrepreneurship” for Three Consecutive Years

<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><img style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11659300" /><br />On April 25, 2016, Konkuk University (KU) announced that it had been selected by the Small and Medium Business Administration for the “2016 Project to Support Universities Leading in Entrepreneurship” for the third consecutive year. The Korean government has selected universities to streamline support for developing business ideas, commercialization, and marketing since 2011. KU was first selected for the project in 2014, and is expected to receive more than 5.6 billion won in funding over three years. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">Encouraging entrepreneurship is one of KU’s strategic areas of interest. The university has held various classes and competitions as well as provided scholarships related to entrepreneurship so far. Mr. Cheolkyu Lee of KU’s Start-up Support Foundation said, “KU has accumulated knowhow through the project and will play an active role for the success of those who dream to open a new business.”</span> <br /><br /><br /></span></p>
