First KLPGA Win for KU Student Ji Young Park

<p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"> <img style="margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: block;" alt="" src="ArticleFile.do?id=11664087" /></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">On June 12, 2016, Ji Young Park, a student of sports science at Konkuk University’s Glocal campus, won the KLPGA S-Oil Champion’s Invitational in Jeju. During the final round she bogeyed the 12<sup>th</sup> hole and fell into a tie for the lead with Su Yeon Jang, who was aiming for her third win this season. However, Jang’s tee shot soared out of bounds on the 14<sup>th</sup> hole and Park made two straight birdies for her 15<sup>th</sup> and 16<sup>th</sup> holes. Park closed with a six-under-par to finish at 17-under 199, topping Jin Young Ko by four strokes. This was her first win after 40 events. She turned professional last year and won the Rookie of the Year award.</span></p>
