During August 8-14, 2016, the College of Business at Konkuk University will hold a summer program for KU and Kanagawa University students. Korean and Chinese students at Konkuk and Japanese students from Kanagawa will participate in the program, which is designed to deepen their understanding of Asian history and culture as well as closely study Korea’s economy and society. In June 2015, KU students and professors at the College of Business visited Kanagawa University, and 20 students and two professors will visit KU this year.
Japanese students will attend lectures by Professor Byung Jun Shin of the Department of History, Professor Dongyoon Kim of the Department of Digital Culture and Contents, and Mr. Inhan Choi of The Korea Economic Daily on Korean history, culture, language, and economy. KU students will learn about the Japanese economy in the modern era as well as East Asian history, urbanization, and architecture. The students will also visit Bukchon Hanok village, Sudeok Temple, and the Tomb of King Muryeong, and have a field trip to Hyundai’s automotive manufacturing plant in Asan.
