On January 24, 2017, Konkuk University announced that 4th-year veterinary medicine students Mr. Jungeun Yang and Ms. Sangwon Lee ranked first and second place, respectively, in the 61st National Veterinarian Exam. The annual exam was administered by the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency on the January 13 with a total of 594 students from 10 Korean universities and overseas universities participating.
“I focused on my coursework and I was also able to put into practice what I’ve learned in theory through clinics which led to good results in the exam,” said Mr. Yang. “I was particularly encouraged by the dedication of Konkuk professors who taught with passion.”
“We are proud that Konkuk students ranked both first and second in the nationwide exam,” said Dean Heemyoung Park of the College of Veterinary Medicine. “We will maintain our tradition by emphasizing theory and practice in education, research, and community service so that our students can become competent and ethical veterinarians.”
