Prior to the spring semester, the Office of International Affairs hosted orientations for exchange and visiting students as well as degree-seeking international students. On February 22, an orientation for 104 exchange and visiting students from 82 universities in 16 countries was held at the Sanghuh Hall. The students were briefed on academic policies, immigration, and campus life and received souvenirs from the university. Konkuk student volunteers also gave tours of the campus and the neighborhood. On the other hand, the Office of International Affairs announced that approximately 840 Konkuk students will be studying abroad during the new academic year. The university has partnerships with 481 institutions in 60 countries and the office supports students in dual-degree and exchange programs, language studies, and internships overseas. Last year, KU signed MOUs with a number of European universities, including Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and Fontys Academy for creative Industries in the Netherlands, Kozminski University in Poland, University of Burgos in Spain, as well as Germany’s Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences. In addition, KU entered into agreements with Seneca College and University of Lethbridge in Canada, Chatham University in the United States, Doshisha University in Japan, and Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia, providing more opportunities to both Konkuk and international students.
