At the end of April, Konkuk University announced that it was selected for the Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation (LINC+) project by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. The 327 billion won initiative intends to tailor university curriculum and academic departments to social demands. After three rounds of evaluations, Konkuk was among the 55 universities selected out of 185, and will be receiving 25 billion won over five years. The university plans on allocating the funding to encourage start-ups and improve employment outcomes of students and promote practical research.
