Konkuk University was selected as the “Best University” in the field of software and petrochemistry in the “2017 Assessment of University Education from the Perspective of the Industry”.
Every year since 2008, several parties, including companies, have reviewed and evaluated curricula of 75 universities having departments related to software, electronic and semiconductors, Information Technology (IT), petrochemistry and cosmetics engineering which are willing to be assessed to check how effectively they respond to the needs of the industry.
This assessment has been jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education and five economic organizations such as the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Universities can also voluntarily take part in the assessment process.
Personnel from 49 companies, including Kakao, LG Electronics and COSON participated in the assessment and university education specialists and well over 2000 companies took the related survey.
