 For applicants from Myanmar, due to the current situation in Myanmar, it is possible to submit documents without apostille.

최근 중동 지역 정세와 관련하여, 해당 지역 출신 정부초청 외국인 장학생(GKS) 지원자의 원서 접수 시 온라인 스캔본을 우선 심사하고, 합격자에 한하여 원본 서류(아포스티유) 제출 기한을 한시적으로 유예할 수 있음을 안내드립니다. 유예기간은 추후 재공지 하겠습니다.

 Due to the recent situation in the Middle East, applicants for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) from the affected regions will be allowed to submit scanned copies of their documents for the initial review during the application process. Only successful applicants will be required to submit the original documents (with Apostille), and the deadline for submitting the original documents may be temporarily postponed. The revised submission deadline will be announced at a later date.

건국대학교 지원을 희망하시는 분들께서는 본인이 지원하고자 하는 트랙 및 전형의 차이와 일정을 반드시 확인하시기 바랍니다.


1. 전형별 안내

※ 건국대학교 GKS 대학원 장학생은 총 3가지 방법으로 지원 가능합니다.

※ 전형별 심사 방식 및 일정이 상이하오니 반드시 구분하여 지원하시기 바랍니다.


 (1) 일반트랙 - 공관전형

 * 온라인 접수 후 1차 심사(공관) → 2차 심사(국립국제교육원) → 3차 심사(대학) 순으로 진행됩니다.

 * 3차 심사(대학)에서는 서류 및 면접 평가가 이루어지며, 대상자에게는 개별 이메일로 안내할 예정입니다.

 ※ 공관전형 1차 심사 탈락자는 일반트랙 대학전형 지원이 가능합니다.

 ※ 공관전형 1차 심사 합격자는 일반트랙 대학전형으로 중복지원이 불가합니다.

 (2) 일반트랙 - 대학전형

 * 온라인 접수 후, 지원서 및 공증 원본 서류를 대학 주소로 우편 발송해야 합니다. (접수 마감일까지 본교 도착 필수)

 * 1차 심사(대학)는 서류 및 면접 평가로 진행되며, 대상자에게는 개별 이메일로 안내할 예정입니다.

 * 1차 심사 합격자에 한해 2차 심사(국립국제교육원)가 진행됩니다.

 (3) 특화트랙(R&D) - 대학심사

 * 아래 2개의 학과에 대해서만 모집하는 전형이며, 해당 학과는 일반트랙으로는 지원하지 못합니다.

 * 대학 자체 심사만 진행되며, 지원서 및 공증 원본 서류를 대학 주소로 우편 발송해야 합니다. (접수 마감일까지 본교 도착 필수)

 * 모집학과

   - 수의학과 수의미생물학 및 전염병학 전공

   - 전기전자공학부 전기공학과

- 본교 지원 예정자는 개편 완료 후 다음 주(~ 2. 9.(월))부터 지원 접수하시어, 지원 과정에서 오류가 발생하지 않도록 유의 바랍니다.

The application process for the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees (GKS-G) has officially begun.

Applicants who wish to apply to Konkuk University must carefully review the differences, evaluation methods, and schedules for each application track before applying.

1. Application Tracks

※ There are three application tracks available for GKS-G applicants to Konkuk University.
※ Evaluation procedures and schedules differ by track; please ensure you apply to the correct track.


 (1) General Track – Embassy Track

 * Selection process: 1st Evaluation (Embassy) → 2nd Evaluation (NIIED) → 3rd Evaluation (University)

 * The 3rd University evaluation includes document screening and interviews. Eligible applicants will be notified individually via email.

※ Applicants who fail the 1st Embassy evaluation may apply to the General Track – University Track.
※ Applicants who pass the 1st Embassy evaluation are not allowed to apply to the University Track.

 (2) General Track – University Track

* After completing the online application, applicants must send the application form and notarized original documents by post to the university address. (All documents must arrive by the application deadline.)

* The 1st University evaluation consists of document screening and interviews. Eligible applicants will be notified individually via email.

* Only applicants who pass the 1st University evaluation will proceed to the 2nd evaluation (NIIED).

 (3) Specialized Track (R&D) – University Evaluation

  • * This track is available only for the departments listed below, and applicants cannot apply to these departments through the General Track.

    Only a University-level evaluation is conducted.

    * Applicants must send the application form and notarized original documents by post to the university address. (All documents must arrive by the application deadline.)

     - Department of Veterinary Medicine (Major in Veterinary Microbiology and Infectious Diseases)

     - School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Department of Electrical Engineering)

    3. Important Notices

    - Graduate departments and majors are currently undergoing restructuring and are expected to be finalized by Fri, Feb. 6.

    - Applicants planning to apply to Konkuk University are strongly advised to begin their application after the restructuring is finalized, starting from Mon, Feb. 9, to prevent application errors.
